Product Executive
This award winning specialist tour operator have been operating special interest tours for more than 25 years and operate throughout the UK and to a range of worldwide destinations. They are now looking for a Product Executive to join their small friendly team to support the Product Manager in the creation of exciting, innovative product, with responsibility for the delivery of a varied product range that delivers an exceptional guest experience.  Salary of £28k to £30k, fully home based in the UK, Monday to Friday.

Product Executive – Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Product Manager in researching new products and contracting all elements of the tour, securing best rates for accommodation, flights, and experiences, in line with the itinerary and budget.
  • Deliver products on the ground by booking all services, arranging, managing, and reviewing logistics.
  • Compile competitor and market analysis.
  • Ensure all website images and content is accurate.
  • Support the sales team with product training and information.
  • Ensure internal systems are updated with the latest arrangements and amend when needed.
  • Liaise with tour staff to ensure they are briefed on the latest policy and developments.
  • Review feedback and ensure consistent improvements on future tours.
  • Ensure margins are correct in the system and renegotiate wherever possible to maximize GP.
  • Collaborate with experts to explore new private group itineraries, aiming to improve the experience, and offer competitive pricing with good margins.
  • Work with Marketing to support with creation of brochures and e-mailshots.

Product Executive – Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working for a tour operator in a product / operations role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Interest in cultural and experience-rich holidays.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Collaborative, able to work in a team-based environment as well as independently, and willing to be hands-on.
  • Decisiveness, with the ability to resolve conflicts and find suitable solutions to challenges.
  • Strong negotiation, commercial thinking, and influencing skills.
  • Understanding of another European language is preferred but not essential.
