Our client is one of the UK’s leading specialist independent group tour operators. They are seeking an Operations Executive to join their dedicated team. As an Operations Executive you will combine your skills in Customer Service and Logistics to manage their study, sport, and ski trip operations. This role is Monday to Friday and ideally office-based in Essex or hybrid with a salary of between £30,000 and £40,000 dependent on experience.
Operations Executive responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service from trip confirmation to completion.
- Plan and develop itineraries for trips in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
- Manage reservations, supplier contracts, and safety audits
- Collaborate with schoolteachers, Group Leaders, company directors, and external suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Safety Management System standards.
- Take on Duty Officer responsibilities.
Operations Executive skills required:
- A self-motivated individual with a strong background in tour/trip operations.
- Travel industry (or sport/ski/study) experience (or direct transferable skills)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong numerical, commercial, and computer skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and MS Office skills
- Language skills (German, French, Italian, or Spanish) would be an advantage
