Client Support & Grants Coordinator – Travel Sector Charity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well?established charity that supports people across the UK travel industry who are facing difficult times. The role is ideal for someone early in their career, who is compassionate, organised, and eager to learn with an interest in the travel & charity sectors. You’ll gain hands on experience across client support, administration, events, and general charity operations, all while making a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Salary of £28,000, hybrid working in central London – initial 1 year fixed term contract.
Client Support & Grants Coordinator – Role & Responsibilities
- Be a friendly first point of contact for new enquiries, providing clear information about the charity’s services
- Support individuals through the grants application process with empathy and professionalism, building supportive relationships to understand their situation and identify the right help
- Help assess applications and prepare recommendations for senior leadership and trustees
- Keep accurate records updated in the CRM system
- Assist with charity events, fundraising activities, and awareness?raising initiatives
- Support marketing and communications by helping create simple, engaging content
- Represent the charity at industry events and meetings (occasional UK travel may be required)
- Provide general administrative support such as organising meetings, updating the website, and following up on funding leads
Client Support & Grants Coordinator – Skills & Experience Required
- A strong communicator who can speak with people from all walks of life
- Empathetic, patient, and comfortable handling sensitive conversations
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Confident using Microsoft Office and general digital tools
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small, supportive team
- Resilient and self?aware, with the ability to look after your own wellbeing
- Motivated by helping others and making a positive impact
- Experience using a CRM system beneficial but not essential
- Confidence attending events – some UK travel and occasional overnight stays may be required
- Interest in the travel industry

- Full?time, 12?month fixed?term contract
